Bruce Weber is an American Photographer. He represents a very American way of photography. Being commercially extremely successfull he has formed the viewers expectations of comercial photographies over the last decades. Working for Calvin Klein, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ralph Lauren, Gianni Versace, Karl Lagerfeld or Dior Homme he has brought a very clean and esthatic look into comercial and fashion photography. The lights in his photographs are brilliantly set, the camera almost 'kisses' the model gently and by looking at the portraits we see an idea of the perfect world.

I wish I could take pictures like Bruce Weber does. His idea of beauty is very close to mine but then I think his pictures are almost too perfect for my eye. I my opinion also in comercial and fashion photography it is possible to bring in something edgy that catches the eye and brings a little disturbance to an otherwise perfect picture.
